German - DAK - Captured Weapons Squad

The DAK Captured Weapons Squad represents Afrika Korps troops making use of Allied weapons and equipment captured during the fighting in North Africa from 1941–43. With supply lines stretched across the Mediterranean and shortages of equipment a constant problem, German troops frequently pressed captured British and Commonwealth weapons into service when ammunition and spares were available. Rifles, Bren light machine guns, submachine guns and other battlefield equipment could supplement standard German weapons, particularly after successful advances that yielded large quantities of abandoned matériel. These improvised combinations give the squad a distinctive appearance while reflecting the practical and resourceful nature of fighting in the Western Desert.
 
This is a multi part model kit. We strongly recommend superglue to assemble.
