The DAK Pioneers were the Afrika Korps’ specialist combat engineers, supporting German forces throughout the North African Campaign of 1941–43. Trained to operate under battlefield conditions, they were responsible for clearing and laying minefields, cutting through obstacles, preparing defensive positions and carrying out demolitions, while also fighting alongside conventional infantry when required. Equipped with rifles, submachine guns, explosives, mines and specialist engineering equipment, Pioneer units were particularly valuable during attacks on fortified positions and defensive lines. Their combination of engineering skills and infantry training made them a versatile and important part of German operations across the difficult desert battlefields of North Africa.

This is a multi part model kit. We strongly recommend superglue to assemble.
