German - DAK - Flak 36 (88mm)

The DAK 8.8cm Flak 36 was one of the most feared and effective weapons employed by the Afrika Korps during the North African Campaign of 1941–43. Originally designed as a heavy anti-aircraft gun, the famous “88” proved devastating when used in the anti-tank role, its high-velocity rounds capable of defeating heavily armoured British tanks at considerable range. German crews frequently positioned the gun in concealed defensive positions, using the open desert terrain and long fields of fire to engage enemy armour before many tank guns could respond effectively. Equally capable of engaging aircraft and ground targets, the Flak 36 played a prominent role in battles such as Halfaya Pass, Gazala and El Alamein, becoming one of the most iconic weapons associated with the Afrika Korps.
 
This is a multi part model kit. We strongly recommend superglue to assemble. 
 
Please note this model is NOT supplied with a base due to its size.
