German - DAK - Kradshutzen
The DAK Kradschützen were motorcycle-mounted infantry serving with the German Afrika Korps during the North African Campaign. Equipped primarily with BMW and Zündapp motorcycles, often accompanied by sidecar combinations, these highly mobile troops were used for reconnaissance, screening, rapid advances, and securing important positions ahead of the main armoured columns. Once in combat, the Kradschützen generally dismounted and fought as conventional infantry, making use of rifles, MP40 submachine guns, and MG34 machine guns. Their speed and mobility were particularly valuable across the vast open terrain of North Africa, where they served alongside the Afrika Korps’ Panzer and motorised formations during the campaigns of 1941–42.
This is a multi part model kit. We strongly recommend superglue to assemble.
