USA - M8 Greyhound
The M8 Greyhound was a U.S. six-wheeled armored car developed for reconnaissance during World War II. Lightly armored and fast, it was armed with a 37mm M6 gun in a fully rotating turret and a .30 or .50 caliber machine gun for defense. With a top speed of over 55 mph (90 km/h), the M8 excelled in scouting, escort, and communication roles.
 
Though vulnerable to heavier weapons and rough terrain, its speed, reliability, and ease of use made it popular with U.S. and Allied forces in both the European and Italian campaigns. Some variants, like the M20, removed the turret for command and utility purposes. The M8 continued to serve in various armies well after WWII.
