German - DAK - HQ Squad

The DAK HQ Squad represented the command element of German Afrika Korps infantry formations during the North African Campaign of 1941–43. Typically consisting of officers, NCOs, radio operators, runners and other supporting personnel, these teams were responsible for coordinating troops, relaying orders and maintaining communications across the fast-moving desert battlefield. Equipped with MP40 submachine guns, Karabiner 98k rifles, binoculars, maps and radio equipment, HQ personnel often operated close to the front to maintain control of their units. Their ability to coordinate infantry, armour and supporting weapons made them an essential part of Afrika Korps operations throughout the desert war.
