The Sherman Crocodile was a flamethrower variant of the M4 Sherman tank, adapted by the British using the same flame equipment as the Churchill Crocodile. It replaced the hull-mounted machine gun with a flamethrower nozzle and towed an armored fuel trailer carrying 400 gallons of fuel and pressurizing gas.
 
Used primarily in Northwest Europe in 1944–45, the Sherman Crocodile was deployed to assault fortified positions, bunkers, and entrenched infantry, proving highly effective in close combat and psychological warfare. It retained its 75mm main gun, allowing it to engage both soft and armored targets, making it a versatile and intimidating battlefield weapon.
