The M16 Quad HMG Halftrack was a U.S. self-propelled anti-aircraft vehicle, armed with four .50 caliber M2 Browning machine guns mounted in a turreted Maxson M45 Quadmount. Based on the M3 Halftrack chassis, it provided effective air defense and ground support, earning the nickname "Meat Chopper" for its devastating firepower. Used extensively in Western Europe and the Pacific, it was highly effective against low-flying aircraft and infantry.
