The U.S. Airborne 57mm anti-tank gun was a lightweight, towable artillery piece used by American paratroopers during World War II. Based on the British Ordnance QF 6-pounder, it was modified for airborne operations, allowing it to be air-dropped or glider-landed with paratrooper units. The gun was effective against light and medium enemy armour, including German Panzer IVs, but struggled against heavier tanks like the Panther and Tiger. Used during D-Day, Operation Market Garden, and the Battle of the Bulge, it provided crucial anti-tank defence while being highly mobile and easy to deploy in forward positions.
This is a multi part model kit. We strongly recomend superglue to assemble.
