USA - M3A1 Stuart (Mid War Variant)

The USA M3A1 Stuart (Mid War Variant) was a light tank used extensively by U.S. and Allied forces during the middle years of World War II, serving in both reconnaissance and infantry support roles. Retaining the 37mm M6 gun and coaxial .30 cal machine gun of earlier models, it featured incremental improvements such as better turret traverse mechanisms, upgraded optics, and enhanced crew comfort. Armour protection remained up to 44mm, and its Continental W-670 radial engine allowed speeds of up to 58 km/h (36 mph), giving it excellent mobility. The Mid War M3A1 saw widespread service in theatres including North Africa, Italy, and the Pacific, where its speed and dependability were valued, although its light armament and armour limited its effectiveness against more heavily armed enemy tanks.
