The Polish 7TP was a light tank used by the Polish Army during the early stages of World War II, notable for being one of the first tanks to feature a diesel engine. Based on the British Vickers 6-ton design, the 7TP was upgraded with thicker armor and a more powerful 37mm Bofors anti-tank gun, making it superior to many early German tanks like the Panzer I and II. The 7TP came in two main variants – a twin-turreted version with machine guns and a single-turret model armed with the 37mm gun. Although only about 150 were produced by 1939, the 7TP performed well during the defense of Poland, inflicting significant losses on German forces. However, its limited numbers and lack of support led to its eventual destruction or capture during the invasion. The 7TP’s design innovations influenced later Polish and Allied armored vehicle development.
This is a multi part model kit. We strongly recomend superglue to assemble.
