The KV-1 with a cast turret was a Soviet heavy tank variant featuring a rounded, one-piece turret for improved durability and ease of production. Armed with a 76.2mm gun and heavily armored, it was nearly impervious to early German anti-tank weapons. Despite its strong protection, it suffered from mobility and reliability issues due to its heavy weight. It saw action on the Eastern Front, where its resilience made it a formidable opponent in the early years of World War II.
