The Italian Carro Armato M14/41 was a medium tank used by Italy during World War II, primarily in North Africa. An upgrade from its predecessor, the M13/40, the M14/41 featured a more powerful 146 hp diesel engine, improving performance in desert conditions. It was armed with a 47mm L/32 main gun and two 8mm Breda machine guns, which provided adequate firepower against infantry and light vehicles but struggled against more modern Allied tanks. The M14/41 had relatively thin armor, up to 42mm, which made it vulnerable to enemy anti-tank weapons. Despite its limitations, it served in the Italian and German forces during key battles in North Africa, such as the campaigns in Libya and Tunisia. While not as advanced as its Allied counterparts, the M14/41 represented Italy's primary armored fighting vehicle in the theater until it was largely phased out after the North African campaign.
