The USMC M3 Anti-Tank Gun refers to the 37mm M3 anti-tank gun, the primary light anti-tank weapon used by the U.S. Marine Corps during the early and mid-stages of World War II. Lightweight and easy to deploy, the M3 could fire 37mm armour-piercing, high-explosive, and canister rounds, making it useful not only against light armoured vehicles but also against infantry and fortified positions. The gun was normally operated by a crew of four, and its low weight allowed it to be towed by a jeep or moved by hand, which was especially valuable in jungle and island terrain.

In the Pacific theatre, the M3 saw extensive use in battles such as Guadalcanal, Tarawa, Saipan, and Okinawa, where Japanese tanks were rare and lightly armoured. Because of this, Marine units often used the gun in a direct-fire support role, firing high-explosive rounds into bunkers, caves, and defensive positions. Although its anti-tank performance became outdated as the war progressed, its reliability, portability, and versatility ensured that the M3 remained in service with Marine units throughout the conflict.
