The DAK 7.5cm leIG 18 provided Afrika Korps infantry with valuable close-support firepower throughout the North African Campaign of 1941–43. Designed as a lightweight infantry gun, the 7.5 cm leichtes Infanteriegeschütz 18 fired high-explosive and smoke ammunition against enemy infantry, machine-gun positions, fortifications and other battlefield targets. Its relatively light construction allowed crews to move the weapon alongside advancing infantry, giving units their own immediately available artillery support without relying entirely on larger field guns. Reliable and versatile, the leIG 18 served throughout the Second World War and was particularly useful in the open desert, where its ability to quickly support infantry attacks and defensive positions made it an important part of German infantry formations.

This is a multi part model kit. We strongly recommend superglue to assemble.
