European Partizans - MMG

The European Partisans LMG Team represents resistance fighters equipped with the valuable additional firepower of a light machine gun during the Second World War. Partisan groups used an enormous variety of weapons, including captured German MG34s, British Bren guns, Soviet DP-27s and other pre-war or Allied-supplied machine guns depending on their location and available supplies. These weapons provided vital covering fire during ambushes, raids and attacks on enemy positions, allowing lightly equipped resistance fighters to engage German and collaborationist forces more effectively. LMG teams could be found among partisan formations throughout France, Italy, Poland, Yugoslavia, Greece and Eastern Europe, reflecting the improvised and diverse nature of resistance warfare.
