The D-12 armored car was a Soviet prototype reconnaissance vehicle developed in the 1930s. It featured a fully enclosed armored hull and was armed with a 7.62mm DT machine gun for self-defense. Designed for mobility and scouting missions, it had good road speed but limited off-road capability. However, it was not widely adopted, as other Soviet armored cars like the BA series were preferred for mass production.
