The Australian HQ Team (Officers) represented the command element responsible for directing infantry, artillery, and support units on the battlefield during World War II. Typically led by a Lieutenant, Captain, or Major, these teams included signallers, runners, and senior NCOs who maintained communications, coordinated troop movements, and relayed orders between front-line units and higher headquarters.
