USA - M3A1 Scout Car - Open Top (Mid War Variant)

The USA M3A1 Scout Car was a lightly armoured, open-topped reconnaissance vehicle used extensively by U.S. and Allied forces during World War II. Introduced in 1941, it was powered by a Hercules JXD 6-cylinder petrol engine and could reach speeds of up to 88 km/h (55 mph) on roads. Armour up to 12mm thick provided protection against small arms fire, and its spacious design allowed it to carry a crew of up to eight. The M3A1 served in roles ranging from reconnaissance and convoy escort to command and liaison duties. Though gradually replaced by more versatile armoured cars later in the war, it saw service in North Africa, Europe, and the Pacific, as well as with numerous Allied nations under Lend-Lease.
