In the Pacific Theater during World War II, U.S. Army bazooka teams were an essential part of the infantry's firepower, providing crucial anti-tank and anti-fortification capabilities. Typically consisting of two soldiers—a gunner and a loader—these teams were armed with the M1 or later the M9 bazooka, a portable, shoulder-fired rocket launcher designed to penetrate armor and destroy hardened targets. While Japanese forces in the Pacific generally deployed fewer tanks compared to the European Theater, the bazooka proved invaluable against enemy bunkers, pillboxes, and fortified caves, which were common in the Pacific islands.

Bazooka teams often worked in coordination with infantry squads, using their weapon to target enemy strongpoints that were difficult to reach with rifles or grenades. The bazooka's high-explosive warhead could punch through the thick concrete or earthen defenses that the Japanese relied on, allowing the infantry to advance and secure key positions. The relatively light weight and mobility of the bazooka made it suitable for the challenging terrain of the Pacific, from dense jungles to volcanic landscapes. Despite the danger of being singled out by enemy fire due to their high-value weapon, bazooka teams played a pivotal role in reducing Japanese fortifications, contributing significantly to the U.S. Army's success in battles across the Pacific, including key engagements on islands such as Saipan, Peleliu, and Okinawa.

This is a multi part model complete. We strongly recomend superglue to assemble.
