The Type 97 Shinhoto Chi-Ha 120mm was a unique and experimental variant of the Japanese Type 97 Chi-Ha medium tank. This modification involved mounting a powerful 120mm short-barreled naval gun in place of the standard 47mm high-velocity gun, transforming the tank into a potent infantry support vehicle. The large-caliber gun, typically used on warships, provided devastating firepower capable of demolishing fortifications and entrenched positions, though it was less effective in an anti-tank role due to its low muzzle velocity. The Shinhoto Chi-Ha 120mm retained the original chassis and turret design, with its relatively thin armor of up to 33mm, which offered limited protection against enemy fire. The tank's mobility was also maintained, powered by a Mitsubishi diesel engine, achieving a top speed of around 24 mph (38 km/h). While only a few of these tanks were produced, they served in specialized roles, demonstrating Japan's innovative but ultimately limited efforts to enhance the firepower of their armored forces during World War II.

This is a multi part model complete  with turret and multi part tracks.
