The T12 HMC (Howitzer Motor Carriage) Halftrack was a U.S. self-propelled artillery vehicle developed in World War II, mounting a 105mm M2 howitzer on an M3 Halftrack chassis. It provided mobile fire support for infantry but had limited armor protection due to its open-top design. The T12 was an early prototype that led to the development of the M7 Priest and other self-propelled artillery vehicles.
