In the Pacific, the M1 81mm Mortar was particularly effective against Japanese fortified positions, such as bunkers and caves, as well as in jungle terrain where direct line-of-sight engagements were difficult. Its ability to deliver high-angle fire allowed it to hit targets hidden by natural obstacles, providing critical support in the challenging environments of the Pacific islands, from Guadalcanal to Okinawa. The M1 81mm Mortar's reliability, ease of use, and firepower made it an indispensable tool for the U.S. Army throughout the war.This is a multi part model complete. We strongly recomend superglue to assemble.
